Photographing in the forest: I let myself be carried by the moment – my eyes perceive, my fingers release the shutter. My skills flow into this attitude as well, without constructing anything in advance. This is how singular images come about. Nothing is contrived. It strengthens my conviction that a beauty resides in everything – a rhythm, a harmony. It almost seems as if the images wanted to come into being. Letting go and courage are everything. Letting it happen, walking on, allowing yourself to be captivated on the spot. But also the courage to produce these images with seriousness – to select them, to exhibit them.
