KKLB

The KKLB is one of the biggest and most successful cultural and art projects in Switzerland

The KKLB premises are located amidst a beautiful landscape located on the geographical line from Sursee to Beromünster. The KKLB comprises a central building, three old countryside villas, a bunker, a sheepfold, several pavilions, and a mysterious new building without windows. Altogether, the premises form a vast synthesis of the arts with installations and exhibitions. Anyone plunging into this environment will see the everyday world with new eyes.

Over 40 artists have left their marks in the iconic buildings of the former Swiss radio transmitter in Beromünster. Renowned artists such as Roman Signer, Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger, Sipho Mabona or Maurizio Dias show their art works.

Since its inception in 2011, the KKLB directed by Wetz and Silas Kreienbühl, has become a Swiss lighthouse project in the arts and culture. Renewable energy plays a central role in the KKLB making this multi-museum unique.

The KKLB’s key task is to curate art exhibitions. In the context of its extraordinary premises, they make an even stronger impact.

An essential part of a KKLB visit is a 60 minutes guided tour, which can be extended anytime with extras. Every Sunday at 2 PM there’s a public guided tour. Registration is not necessary. A special programme is offered to children. Group reservations for corporate events, birthday parties, club excursions as well as reservations for different types of events can be made. A guided tour is part of any type of KKLB visit.

Our experiences and the feedbacks we have received clearly show: For the visitors the KKLB is a source of inspiration and empowerment – pure mental hygiene!
