"Napf Analogies"
2013 | Photographs | analogous | 35mm film
Taking photographs in the woods: I let myself be driven by moments in time, my eyes are observing, my fingers are pulling the trigger. With this attitude my skills are still available without mentally focussing on something else at the same time. The result are unique pictures. Nothing is invented. I find my conviction confirmed that there is beauty, rhythm, harmony, and a positive fundamental force inherent in all things. It’s almost as if the pictures themselves are coming into being. The essential skills are letting go and courage. This means, to let things happen, keep moving and getting inspired on the spot. But also being courageous, which means to manufacture, choose, and exhibit these images with wholeheartedness.
